Erik Seidel Gets 11th in the Latest GPI Ranking Update

The 56-year-old Erik Seidel from the US occupied the 11th position of the Global Poker Index Ranking after its latest update. The professional poker player, who is also a member of the Poker Hall of Fame, has all-time winnings of $29,547,515. his live best cash amounts to $2,472,555.

The first live event cash of Seidel was in 1988. Since then, the player is known for cashing almost 200 times, making it to 133 final tables and winning 27 events and 8 gold bracelets. He also has one World Poker Tour tile on his account.

So far in 2016, Erik Seidel has taken part in a great number of poker events. The last poker tournament he participated in was the WPT-13-ESPT-7-Barcelona. Before that, on July 13th Seigel entered in the Aria High Roller 36‘s $25,000 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em event, where he ranked second and won a massive prize of $264.000. The player took part in another event of the Aria High Roller series – the $25,000 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em – High Roller A, ranking at the 3th position and taking home a total of $296,800.

Seidel also took part in the latest edition of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). In the period from June 6th to July 5th he was engaged in a total of 6 events, taking home overall winnings of $44,341. His best ranking in this year’s edition of the series was the 24th position he took at the H.O.R.S.E. Championship (Event #24), which took place between June 15th and 17th at the Rio Hotel and Casino. However, this was not the series’ event that brought him the largest prize chunk. Seidel got $15,113 in the $10,000 Buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed Championship.

The 56-year-old American also participated in the $300,000 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em Super High Roller Bowl with 888poker and got third, winning a massive consolation prize of $2,400,000. The EPT-12-FPS-6-Grand Final tournament also attracted Seidel’s attention and he joined four events of the series which took place in Monte Carlo from April 30th to May 6th.

At the very beginning of 2016m – on January 9th, the player entered the $50,000 Buy-in #38 No Limit Hold’em – High Roller 8-Handed event of this year’s edition of PCA. He ranked 5th and added a total of $301,080 to his winnings.
